Hello lovelies!

I'm just stopping by since it's been a while. Not too much new has been happening with me, but I graduated in May! I made it, and I'm so so so glad to be done! Had a horrible backslide with my weight, but after some chastising from my doctor (and the very scary and all too real threat of me developing diabetes if I keep gaining weight), and my dad literally dragging me out of bed over the past two weeks, my parents and I have been walking for 30 minutes almost every morning. I've been making more of a conscience effort as to what I eat, and I've lost two pounds already! It's not much, but it's enough to keep me motivated. When I check in again in a few weeks or months, I hope to report more good news. Wish me luck!

Hiatus.

So it's come to this. While I will never completely give this blog up (because the reason I started it was, and is, too important), I'm sad to say that my blog is going on a hiatus for an undetermined amount of time. School, as always, is kind of taking over my life and graduation is right around the corner. Besides that, I just don't think I've ever been that good at making and continuing blogs/twitters, etc. Call it a character flaw. :) I'll be sure to check back in every so often with tips, advice, recipes, and success, etc. Until then,

New Year, New Me

Hello lovelies!

I hope 2012 is treating you well so far. It certainly has been good for me. I have been enjoying my break from school and I'm so upset I have to go back tomorrow! I want at least another week of relaxation. On the weight loss/healthiness part of things, I'm doing a lot better! I'm trying to get rid of the slight holiday weight I gained and make eating vegetables a solid part of my diet. For some reason, vegetables are the worst thing for me to get used to. I'm a picky 5 year old at heart, what can I say? I'll get there though. And good news- Josh has decided to join me in planning to lose 30 pounds by May! I'm so proud of him, and plus I get a new workout buddy. :)

I think that's it for now, but I must include a new trance track! I found a duo on YouTube one day who call themselves Eminence, and let me just say- they make the best trance mixes ever (as well as house and dubstep songs)! So. good. Check them out for yourself! Until then,

My family was perfectly content in the way we ate- which was less than healthy. We knew we needed to make better choices, but was easier said than done. Then my mom had a stroke. It was caused by high blood pressure, which was caused by not eating right/exercising. She's on the road to recovery, but it was a much-needed wake up call. I'm going to use my blog to post healthful recipes, etc, as well as a place to talk freely about things that are going on in my life.
